How to include siblings at a Naming Day

Cras Having siblings play a part in a Naming ceremony can be a very special item.

Overview

There are many ways a child could be involved:

Read a poem

Light a candle if they are old enough

Be part of a sand ceremony

Hand around wishes for a Basket of Wishes

Help plant a tree in honour of their new sibling

  • Make family tree (trunk and branches already prepared on poster or certificate) and have either siblings and parents or siblings, parents and extended family members use their finger prints to attach leaves to the tree - new family tree!
